Bettie Page – Death of the Pin Up Queen
Since I’m off today, this is the first chance I’ve really had to comment on the Bettie’s death last night. Bettie reshaped the world in a way she, nor anyone else, ever expected. Only modeling for a few years, and mostly for amateur photographers, she changed the landscape of fashion, art, fetish, sexuality and culture for decades. Anyone that knows me, also knows of my Bettie obsession, reaching back nearly 20 years. I was fortunate enough to get her autographer, as well as, an original Klaw print. After so many years living in oblivion, unaware of her cult icon status, at least she was able to reap the rewards of her fame in her later years. Bettie will be greatly missed, and with Dave’s recent death, the final chapter in Bettie’s long career is over.
