The fringe on both sides gets all of the attention. This poll was horribly skewed from the very beginning in that they polled a bunch of wingnuts - not your average Republican mind you - but most likely a group of people who had "self-identified" and/or registered with some organization. It doesn't say on the methodology what organization, or how these people were picked. Here's another thing. It was done by phone. Tone is very hard to convey online, or in print, but I am sure that I could ask this question: "Do you believe that the only way for an individual to go to heaven is though Jesus Christ, or can one make it to heaven through another faith?" in a way that would make a god-fearing fundamentalist christian that was pre-selected for this poll give me the answer that I was looking for. :) Good article, Gabe!
