I’ve been meaning to post these for a couple of weeks it seems, just never got around to it. These were all taken with a iPhone 3G from inside the pit. The lighting was really hard from that angle, and if I would have had my new iPhone 4, these would have turned out much better. In any case, a few shots of the Danzig show, and Doyle’s band also.

Misfits Skateboards

I read this morning that Jerry Only will be hosting the FACTION channel on Halloween. At almost the same time, I ran across this bit of Misfits history. The Misfits skateboards, circa 1985. I wanted one of these so bad. The coffin shaped Samhain was amazing. Not the best of skateboards, but damn was it cool looking. With art by Pushead, the punk artist legend, and lead singer of Septic Death, these were about the best thing possible in 1985. I still remember this ad in Thrasher magazine every month.
