I guess it was still too close to the 90s and so many bands that I loved seemed more important to me than this single album by a group at the end of the decade.  Over the years, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, has really grown on me, and now, 11 years later, I might be willing to argue that it was the best release of the 90s.

There’s not a bad track, and lyrically, it’s second to none, take a listen:
