			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I grew up on Corrosion of Conformity. Not the silly metal band of the 90s, but the punk band. They were from less than 2 hours away, and their sound was unlike anything I&#8217;d ever heard before.  COCs first album, <em>Eye for an Eye</em>, is a punk classic, even if it&#8217;s usually not mentioned along side bigger name punk bands. <em>Animosity</em>, their second release, played no stop in my headphones during my teen years. I still remember finding a copy in an import stack in Eden, NC, which is really funny considering the band was from just down road 60 or so miles. Here&#8217;s a taste of early COC in 1983, playing in VA. Enjoy!<br />
